Aesop's Fable One

The Dove and the Crow

A dove, locked up in a cage, was congratulating herself on how many children she had hatched, when a crow came by and said:
_ "My good friend, cease from this unreasonable boasting. The larger the number of your family, the greater your cause of sorrow, in seeing them shut up in this prison-house."

Moral: We must have freedom to enjoy our blessings.
